Traveling to Italy for our honeymoon has been in the works for many.. many.. moons. We were engaged and planning a wedding nearly 3 years ago, dreaming of our special day and honeymoon to follow. That's when my husband got a letter in the mail saying his number had come up in the FDNY fire academy list, and he was on his way to becoming a firefighter. A scary and beautiful thing. The wedding still happened, albeit he was only able to take one day off for it, and we put the honeymoon on the back burner. An easy thing to add to the bottom of the To-Do list, considering his dream job just presented itself. I'll be forever grateful to the opportunities he's made for himself, and for me, and so a honeymoon was the least of my worries. That was until 2 years later, when his vacation time came up, and we were suddenly in the position to have over 2 weeks off together. Honeymoon time it was.

Framed Florals Flowers // From You to Me!

Almost two years ago, Framed Florals became a concept to me when I couldn't find someone to preserve my wedding flowers. I googled and searched all over the internet to find someone in Brooklyn to help me, and came up empty.
When I made the decision to officially launch this business, I knew I wanted to be able to serve brides, grooms, & their families, from all over, not just Brooklyn.

This weekend I had the great pleasure and honor of doing the flowers for my dear friends wedding. Their wedding was a small elopement ceremony, and an intimate dinner. Small and simple. The flowers reflected that, whites and greens with tiny pops of color from Thistle flowers.

Framed Florals Travels // The Berkshires

As spring starts to emerge here in Brooklyn, I can't help but feel so excited for the little buds on trees, longer days, warmer nights, I could go on forever. While I'm thrilled for my own city to bloom, the long winter has left me feeling stir crazy and a trip out of town is so needed. My husband, four pound pooch Tony, and I left for The Berkshires.
