Framed Florals Flowers // From Start to Finish // Jessica

We love to hear our client’s stories behind their wedding that make their pressed and preserved frame so special to them. One of our clients, Jessica, was kind enough to share her and her husband’s story, as well as their experience with getting their flowers preserved by Framed Florals.

Jessica and her husband Devin, met when she was attending college at Virginia Commonwealth University and he was attending The University of Richmond School of Law.  Years later, their dream wedding was held at 1851 St. Mary Star of the Sea, The Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain, and Le Petit Cafe in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn. The couple, hoping to include some family traditions when planning their wedding, was the 4th generation to wed in a Carroll Gardens church.

When we asked Jessica what her favorite part of planning her wedding was, her response was heartwarming. She said her favorite part had to be her opportunity to mix “family traditions with modern elements.” With this in mind, the couple chose to only use local vendors of Brooklyn for their wedding. When selecting the flowers for her bouquet, Jessica wanted to find someone who was able to create something a little more unique and not overly “bridal.” She found the perfect person for the job, Rebecca Shepard, of course located in Brooklyn. The flowers Jessica and Rebecca chose were modern and chic, yet whimsical and unique. The pops of red and maroon in her bouquet were a stunning contrast to the rest of her bouquet and dress, and added a gorgeous element to the photography.

I loved how easy it was to communicate with Lacie. She was responsive through email and very accommodating.

Jessica stumbled upon Framed Florals unique modern preservation style a couple months before her October wedding. Since Devin and Jessica were determined to only use local vendors, when she realized that Framed Florals’ artist Lacie was located in Brooklyn, she knew it was meant to be! Jessica and Devin’s preserved flowers now hang in their dinning room. They serve as a reminder of the happy couple’s special day, and is a great talking point with family and friends.
